Mr. Sunny-Ken Awoji, President of the Nollywood Ambassadors International Initiative, organizers of the event, revealed this in an interview on Monday in Abuja. According to him, "Suleiman, General Supervisor of Omega Fire Ministries, will be honored as 'Nollywood Most Friendly Clergyman' for his 'passionate' care and support of the film industry, particularly for actors." He added that Iginla of the Royal Assembly of Champions , based in the Federal Capital Territory, will be honored as the "Most Supported Cleric of the Year." Despite their enormous spiritual responsibilities, these men have committed their resources to the well-being of Nollywood in recent years. unrecognized heroes and worthy ambassadors who must be honored, in a way of saying thanks to them. "They have paid the medical bills of some of ours when they had health problems, and in some cases sponsored others for medical trips abroad." Pastor Iginla has made a tradition to motivate our actors every time he is celebrating his birthday, giving them cars and other valuable items for the industry. "Having shown uncommon patriotism to Nollywood, they need to be celebrated to inspire and do more for humanity," Awoji said. He added that there were individuals and organizations, both inside and outside the Nigerian film industry, that have contributed to their astronomical growth which are also listed on the honor roll. He noted that anyone, across each sector, who has demonstrated uncommon patriotism and contributed to the growth of the film industry in Nigeria, was an ambassador worthy of Nollywood. "Nollywood has evolved to become a global brand, and it's time to celebrate our brand ambassadors for their immense contributions to the growth of a brand that has created jobs for many Nigerians." Awoji explained that since the award was aimed at recognizing both professional and industry supporters alike, the award has been ranked in internal and external awards, respectively. He identified other listings for the award to include a clergyman, Jide Ogunsakin, Admiral Festus Porbeni and Dr. Boss Andy Bassey to be honored as "Young Entrepreneur of the Year, among others." He added that Nollywood has also listed some of his Best Actors, Male and Female, Kannywood Best Actor, and Most Promising Actor, respectively male and female, would also be honored as Best Guild President of the Year, Most Creative Director of the Year, Best Producer and Best Director. honored among others.Azoji explained that the Nigeria Actors Guild (AGN), the Film Producers Association (AMP), the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) and other Nollywood guilds supported the initiative.
