MAN, 40, ACCUSED OF IMPREGNATING NEIGHBOUR’S 15-YR-OLD DAUGHTER
KATSINA-Nemesis caught up with a 40-year-old Idris, who would have permeated his 15-year-old daughter. He was, yesterday, brought before a magistrate's court in Kastina.

Hajiya Falile Dikko of the Superior Court of Magistrates of Katsina ordered that the suspect be remanded in custody until 6 November when his case is mentioned. Police attorney Sani Ado told the court that Irris lives in the same house with his neighbor Abubakar in the village of Gawa in Bindawa State, where the offense was allegedly committed . Ado told the court that it was Abubakar who reported the incident to the police on 23 September, after which the suspect was arrested. Ado said that Idris would have deceived the victim and raped her, resulting in pregnancy, thereby committing an offense contrary to section 283 of the Penal Code Act. The Public Prosecutor stated that the investigation into the incident was still ongoing and was requested for adjournment. Addressing the suspect, Hajiya Dikko said: "This court will not ask you whether the allegation against you is true or false, because the case of rape is triable to the high court," and ordered it to be placed in custody until 6 November, when her case is brought before her.
