Man lands in court for allegedly raping his step daughters
A 50-year-old stepfather, identified as David Ekong, has been tried before a chief magistrate court in Ikeja for allegedly having carnal knowledge of two of his stepdaughters.

Ekong, bricklayer and resident of 30 Abule Oki Street, Iyana Ipaja, a suburb of Lagos, is being tried for corruption, rape and assault.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Clifford Ogu, previously told the court that the crimes were committed on 2 and 4 September 2017 at the accused residence.
According to Ogu, the accused, who married the mother of the two girls, raped the first 16-year-old girl and desecrated the second girl, 12, on different occasions.
He said: "The defendants threatened to kill them if they tell their mother."
Ogu said that when the first girl resisted his advance a few weeks after raping her, the accused beat her to stupor.
He added: "It was then that the girl told her mother what the accused had been doing with her and her younger sister.
"The mother reported on the matter at the police station and the defendant was arrested.
According to him, the offenses violated Sections 135, 171 and 259 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The chief magistrate, Ms. Taiwo Akanni, however, entrusted the defendant with a bond of N250,000 with two bail bonds in equal amounts.
Akanni raised the case until November 21, to mention it.
