Any Indian aggression through LOC will respond to an appropriate response, says Maleeha
Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi, warned India on Tuesday that it was opposed to repeated threats to carry out "surgical strikes" through the Control Line in the disputed region of Kashmir.
"All I can say is do not underestimate Pakistan's determination and ability to defend itself," Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi told the UN General Assembly as she participated in a debate on the UN Secretary-General's annual report on the work of the organization.
"Any aggression or adventurism of India will respond to an adequate and effective response from our armed forces and the people of Pakistan," he warned.
The Pakistani envoy urged the United Nations and the international community to take "urgent" action on India's open threats to use force amidst the tensions prevailing between the two countries.
