Russia 2018: Group applauds Dalung over Nigeria’s qualification
The South-South Reform Movement (SSRM) has praised the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Solomon Dalung, for Nigeria's qualification for the final of the 2018 Russian World Cup. The Secretary-General of SSRM, Pastor Magnus Oku, said in a statement Sunday in Abuja that Dalung had fulfilled his promise that Nigeria should be in the 2018 Russia tournament. The Nigeria Super Eagles on Oct. 7 were qualified for the World Cup 2018 in Russia after beating the visitors, Chipolopolo of Zambia 1-0. "Dalung has been following the series of World Cup qualifiers with skill, ensuring that the allocation is paid on time and that the well being of the players is taken seriously." He has undoubtedly been proven to be an effective manager, as their efforts have yielded positive results. "The qualification of Nigeria was not without administrative sacrifices, as the minister has made great sacrifices to minimize the domestic fights in the soccer family that have persisted for years so far," he said. Oku expressed optimism that Nigeria would win their next match against Algeria although it was only out of pride.
