In a letter allegedly written by Kachikwu to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Minister of State said that for more than a year he had tolerated the disrespectful and humiliating conduct of the Group Managing Director in his office and had decided to bring the matter to the attention of the President . He said, "Mr. President, yesterday, like many other Nigerians, I went back to work in front of many mass-change publications within NNPC." Like the previous reorganizations and reposting done since Dr. Baru resumed as GMD. gave the opportunity before announcements to discuss these appointments. This is so despite being Minister of State for Petroleum and Chairman of the NNPC Board. "The NNPC Board that you named and has met every month since its inauguration and which by the NNPC statutes is intended to review these planned appointments and publications was never reported. Board members learned of these appointments of the social media pages and the NNPC press release. " The letter was dated August 30, 2017, with the title "Re: Subjects of insubordination and lack of adherence to due process perpetuated by the GMD NNPC, Dr. Baru, 'and was signed by Kachikwu. to obtain additional information from the Minister and his assistants was unsuccessful, such as several telephone calls and text messages to the Kachikwu, his Technical Assistant in Media, Mr. Uche Adighibe, and the Director General of the Group of the Public Affairs Division of the The NNPC group, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, said he had not seen the letter and would be available to comment on the topic after reading the contents of the letter. In the letter, Kachikwu said he has been in a race to stabilize and move arguing that the industry was also in a critical state in which only innovative ideas can stop the alarming impact of the fall of oil prices in National Income, adding that the innovations he and his team had developed and begun to implement in the downstream, policymaking, and security of the Niger Delta has allowed the sector to slightly stabilize . "However, the truth is that given the global challenge in this sector, we must aggressively seek the ideas of rejuvenation in this sector, get the best performance and increase our oil and gas profits." What this means is that parastatal entities in the Ministry and all CEOS of these parastatal entities must be aligned with the policy of the supervising Ministry to enable the sector to record the growth that has escaped it for many years. To do otherwise or to exempt any of the parastatal companies would be to put up a stunted growth for the industry. "To this end, Kachikwu appealed to Buhari to move and save the NNPC and the oil industry from the collapsed derivative of non-transparent practices in the NNPC, and empower the NNPC to take the necessary actions when necessary. His other prayers to Buhari include, "That you save, the Minister's office of more humiliation and disrespect, forcing to all parastatals to undergo a regulatory oversight mandate and adequate supervision that I am supposed to manage on their behalf. "Please instruct the GMD to effectively detain NNPC as an appropriate institution and report along the lines of due process to the Board and that Your Excellency order all revisions to be made with the Minister of State prior to his decision. "That to establish the right examples, he approves that the recently announced reorganization changes are suspended until the GMD, me and the Board have made material contributions to it. This will send a clear signal of process and transparency. "That Your Excellency encourages the joint presentation meetings between the heads of Parastatals and the Minister of State to you in order to encourage a culture of joint work and the discipline of implants in the hierarchy."
